Rice Characteristics

This is a type of Basmati rice that has undergone a special pre-processing method called parboiling. During this process, the rice grains are steamed together with their husks, then dried and milled. As a result, the rice:
  • Becomes harder, more resistant to breakage, and has a longer shelf life.
  • Turns long and slender when cooked; remains separate and non-sticky.
  • Gains increased nutritional value, as some vitamins and minerals from the bran are absorbed into the grain.

Cooking Instructions

There are many ways to cook Premium Sella Rice:

255 ml WATER

Heat: 1100 W
Time: 9 Min. + 5 Min. resting

Soak for 20–30 minutes, cook covered (with lid or film), then let rest for 5 minutes.

Heat: Medium
Time: 13 Min. + 5 Min. resting

Soak for 20–30 minutes; add boiling water and salt; cook with the lid closed.

Heat: 190°
Time: 25 min. + 5 min. resting

Soak for 30–60 minutes, add boiling water to a metal or ceramic dish, cover tightly with foil, and bake.
