Rice Characteristics

White Basmati is the milled (bran and germ removed) white form of the long and slender aromatic Basmati rice originating from India and Pakistan. It is not Parboiled/Sella; the grains retain their natural white color. High-quality products are aged for a certain period after harvest before packaging. As a result, the rice:
  • Elongates and stays fluffy when cooked; it does not stick.
  • Cooks faster and offers a lighter texture compared to brown Basmati.
  • Preserves its distinct natural aroma (Basmati scent), making it ideal for pilaf, rice-based dishes, and curries.
