How to Cook?

Add 1/2 teacup of olive oil to a pot; add 1 cup of almonds and toast until golden.
Add 1 teacup of pine nuts and 1 teacup of currants; continue to sauté.
Add 2 cups of rice and sauté for about 10 minutes.
Add 20 pieces each of chopped dried apricots and dried plums; mix well.
Add 2 tsp cinnamon, 2 tsp allspice, 2 tsp black pepper, and 3 tsp salt; stir to combine.
Add 4 cups of hot water, cover the lid, and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
Turn off the heat; let it rest for 15–20 minutes before serving.
